automotive application r&d center: automotive oem paint manufacturer and jointly design innovative products
the asia pacific r&d center for automotive applications has an electrostatic spray booth equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a physical testing laboratory and 3d robots to drive customer-oriented r&d. 3d robots can simulate painting production lines around the world under different conditions, so as to optimize the painting process and products. not only can it be painted horizontally or vertically, it can also be painted on three-dimensional parts such as doors and bumpers. 3d robots enable not only to develop new products for customers in the automotive industry, but also to design solutions for automotive oem paint and potential new trends in the automotive coatings industry. the new application development center also houses laboratories focused on sustainable spray applications.

the center has advanced solid catalyst process equipment as well as a highly specialized testing facility for evaluating the performance of solid catalysts, and scientists will develop new catalytic materials for new and existing process catalysis applications. solid processes such as solid forming, separation, formulation, thin film coating, drying and solid handling will also be designed and optimized in this centre. the r&d center will also provide customization of process catalysts and adsorbents for the asia pacific region and support the further development of the market, adding more value through close cooperation with ‘s customers and partners in asia. it will complement ‘s world-class catalyst production base in caojing, shanghai, and further improve and strengthen its production capacity.

coloreco is a new type of sustainable paint system including waterborne single coat and waterborne integrated process. the solution was first applied by domestic commercial vehicle leader jac to its light commercial vehicles, helping automakers meet stringent regulations on volatile organic compound (voc) emissions, especially in light commercial vehicles and compact utility vehicles . traditional paint systems require four coats. integrated process 2 suitable for metallic paints, the first layer of intermediate coating can be integrated into the paint to achieve better functionality. one-coat paints for plain paints can even combine three coats in one, saving customers time, energy and materials.
