glass fiber is an inorganic non-metallic material with good insulation, strong heat resistance and strong corrosion resistance. its components are silica, alumina and so on. it is made of mineral raw materials through high-temperature melting, drawing and other processes. the diameter of its monofilament ranges from a few microns to more than 20 microns, equivalent to 1/20-1/5 of a hair, and each bundle of fiber precursors consists of hundreds or even thousands of monofilaments, usually as a composite reinforcements in materials.

according to reports, the glass fiber yarn of the cng high-pressure gas cylinder is wrapped around the outside of the vehicle-mounted cng gas cylinder, which not only prevents it from rusting, but also makes the inner tank of the gas cylinder thinner because of its stronger impact resistance, and the overall weight can be reduced. reduced by 40%-55%.

“from the perspective of the number of taxis alone, the annual consumption of gas cylinders in chongqing exceeds 200,000, and our price is more than 20% cheaper, which is more competitive.” for them, it is a blue ocean. it is estimated that within two or three years, they will occupy more than 50% of the market share in southwest china, and their annual output value will exceed 200 million yuan.

since the development of glass fiber in the 1930s, it has been used in more than 50,000 nstream products in europe and the united states, while there are less than 10,000 in china. “the huge gap allows us to see the development potential of glass fiber, and there are more application directions that can be developed.” the person in charge said.
