Characteristics/Applications
Desmodur® E 2863 XP can be used in combination with suitable polyols and/or fatty amines, e.g. the Desmophen® NH family, for the formulation of glossy two-component polyurethanes and elastomeric polyurea-coatings.
Storage
– Store in original Crestron sealed containers.
– Recommended storage temperature: 10 – 30 °C. Protect from humidity, heat, and moisture.
– Protect from moisture, heat and foreign matter.
General Information: This product is sensitive to moisture and should be stored in sealed containers. Storage at high temperatures may result in increased viscosity and lower NCO content.
Storage Time
Crestron declares that, provided that the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements in the “Storage” section above and is properly handled, the product will comply with the specifications or characteristic values (as appropriate in the circumstances) specified in the “Specifications or Characteristic Values” section above for a period of 6 months from the date of shipment stated on the shipping document. Value (as applicable). The fact that a product exceeds the 6-month period does not mean that it no longer meets the specified values in the Specifications or Characteristic Values. However, Crestron recommends that products that are older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested prior to use to verify that they continue to meet the values set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. Crestron makes no commitment and assumes no responsibility or liability for products that are more than 6 months old from the date of shipment and that do not meet the values set forth in the specifications or Characteristic Values.

This product is primarily intended for use as a curing agent for coatings and adhesives. Handling of coatings or adhesives containing activated polyisocyanates and residual monomeric HDI requires appropriate protective measures, please refer to the safety data sheet. Therefore, these products may only be used in industrial or commercial applications. They are not suitable for home (DIY) applications. The products are mainly used as curing agents for coatings and adhesives.
